2010-2011 Pre-K Daily Class Schedule
Meets Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 12:00 - 2:30 P.M.

- 12:00 arrival / outside time / parent education
- Except on special event days
- 12:25 clean-up / practice writing names
- 12:30 opening circle time
- Say "Hello", discuss activities of the day, sharing (October-May) – children may bring one thing that starts with the letter of the week, on their parent’s work day.
- 12:40 free choice / activity time
- Children choose from a variety of activities, including pre-reading and pre-math. Parents are assigned to specific areas for teaching.
- 1:20 clean-up
- Children and parents clean up. Children gather in Rainbow room for jobs/routines.
- 1:25 snack
- Children and some parents sit and snack, passing food and taking turns talking.
- 1:55 second circle time
- Music, literature, and other large group activities, with parent participation. PE parents gather snack dishes, clean up, wash dishes, sweep floors and then join circle time.
- 2:30 dismissal
- Children are dismissed to their cubbies.
Note: Times for all classes are flexible depending on the needs of children and the weather. Please honor the start times and ending times by being prompt.
