2008-2009 Pre-K Daily Class Schedule
Meets Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 12:00 - 2:30 P.M.

- 12:00 arrival - wash hands, read books
- 12:05 opening circle time
- Say "Hello", discuss activities of the day, sharing (October-May): children may bring something to share on their parent's work day which begins with the letter of the week
- 12:25 free choice / activity time
- Children choose from a variety of activities, including pre-reading and pre-math. Parents are assigned to specific areas for teaching.
- 1:10 clean-up
- Children and parents clean up.
- 1:15 second circle time
- Music and other large group activities. Parents participate.
- 1:35 hand washing
- Children wash hands and go to snack tables.
- 1:40 snack
- Children trace their names on their "snack ticket" at their snack room before eating.
- 1:55 outside time / parent education
- Half the parents supervise outside time and half the parents remain with the instructor to discuss a parenting topic.
- 2:20 clean up outside
- Children and parents clean up outside toys. Children line up at gate.
- 2:25 group story
- Parents from the parent education discussion clean-up snack tables.
- 2:30 dismissal
- Children are dismissed to their cubbies.
Note: Times for all classes are flexible depending on the needs of children and the weather. Please honor the start times and ending times by being prompt.
