Community Connections
At Crystal Springs Co-op Preschool, we strive to teach our students empathy and that one is never too young (or too old) to make an impact on the world. Our families consistently volunteer their time, their treasures, and their talents to make a difference to our local and global community. Storehouse Foodbank Drive

Mary's Place Giving Tree
December 2021 & 2022
Our preschool families supported Mary's Place in gathering gifts for the holidays. Mary's Place gathers gifts for their annual Holly Jolly holiday party where the families can enjoy some festivities and shop for gifts (for the kids and the parents), then wrap them during the party.
Operation Shoebox
November 1st & 2nd 2022
Our preschool families collected candy for Operation Shoebox. The organization sends care packages to troops overseas and returning home. www.operationshoebox.com
Woodinville Storehouse Food Bank

Earth Month Challenge
April 2021
As we remained apart this season due to COVID-19, our families were united in a month-long Earth Challenge. Families completed many earth friendly activities to help educate students the importance of being 'green'. We hope this event will encourage families to live a life dedicated to protecting the environment.
Handmade Hero - Joann's Fabric & Craft

CSPS is humbled to be recognized by Joann's Fabric and Craft as a Handmade Hero. Joann’s program celebrates organizations who have made a commitment to making a difference in their communities using their hands, hearts, and minds. CSPS hopes this recognition will motivate families to continue to make a positive impact on their communities.
Care Packages for Evergreen Hospital
March 5th 2021
CSPS families created handmade cards and donated snacks to create care packages for those working on the frontlines of COVID-19. Over 60 care packages were donated to Evergreen Hospital.
Everett Animal Shelter Towel Drive
January 19th-22nd 2021
CSPS collected and delivered over 50 gently used towels to benefit the Everett Animal Shelter.
Bothell Health Care
November 30th-December 4th 2020
CSPS families delivered over 65 handmade holiday cards to spread holiday cheer to Bothell Health Care long-term residents.
Veteran Appreciation
November 16th-20th 2020
CSPS teamed up with Blue Star Moms to send care packages to local Veterans. Students and their families decorated cards and wrote words of gratitude, along with donating candy.
Mill Creek Community Food Bank
November 2nd-6th 2020
CSPS collected 175 lbs. of nonperishable food items for the Mill Creek Community Food Bank.
Story time with Lois Brandt
October 22nd 2020
Children's author, Lois Brandt, read from her highly acclaimed book, "Maddi's Fridge" to educate our school about the reality of childhood hunger. She also shared tangible ways to help fight against hunger in our community.
Evergreen Hospital Snack Drive

CSPS families made cards and donated snacks to show love and appreciation for healthcare workers on the frontline of battling COVID- 19.
Hunger Intervention Program Food Drive

CSPS families collected food items for the Hunger Intervention Program's Healthy HIP Packs- a weekend food backpack program that provides an important food resource for Seattle Public School students.
Mill Creek Community Food Bank

CSPS students and families volunteered at the Mill Creek Food Bank. They prepared food bags for community members in need.
Bothell Community Kitchen

CSPS, along with our sister Shoreline Co-ops, collaborated with Bothell Community Kitchen to serve a hot, nutritious meal to our neighbors in need.
Art for a Cause

CSPS students created art to be used as decoration for our Bothell Community Kitchen event.
Seattle Children's Hospital
December 11th 2019
Pre-K students decorated cards and tied handmade scarves on teddy bears. The cards along with the 25 teddy bears were donated to patients at Seattle Children's hospital.
Babies of Homelessness
December 2nd-6th 2019
CSPS collected over 45 blankets to be donated to children and their families experiencing homelessness this winter.
Operation Gratitude
November 5th & 6th 2019
CSPS in collaboration with Stellar Kids Dental collected over 80 pounds of candy to benefit Operation Gratitude, who supports and sends care packages to deployed service men and women.
Meals on Wheels Art Project
October 7th & 8th 2019
Students decorated delivery bags that were donated to Seattle Meals on Wheels. We hope the bags spread joy with each meal delivery!
